A Premium Home Interior at Mohtisham Amity Apartments, Mangalore, Karnataka

May 12, 2026

Zeba and her husband, Jalal, were residing in Saudi Arabia and moved in a year ago. They have bought an apartment here in Attavar, near the Central Station, Mohtisham Amity Apartments, Mangalore, Karnataka. As they were planning to move in, they were looking for interiors for their home in Mangalore. They loved D’LIFE’s page and the reviews and Instagram videos; that’s how they ended up with D’LIFE. Zeba says, “It was pretty much easy to tackle with the interior designers.”

Their meetings were virtual meetings because they were in Saudi Arabia. Zeba and her husband, Jalal, gave the ideas, and the rest of it was easygoing. When the client came here to their Mohtisham Amity Apartments, Mangalore, from Saudi Arabia, almost all the work was already done from our side.

Making everyday living more beautiful

As part of the design, our concept was to keep it minimal and very light for this home at Mohtisham Amity Apartments, Mangalore, Karnataka, as they have two kids. The clients were adamant about keeping things simple. We kept it very basic with the colours, with the furniture, settings, and everything. The aesthetic is largely inspired by a minimalist design scheme.

Catering to a family of varied ages, sensibilities, and aesthetic bent, we decided to bring in diversity with a little pop of colour while keeping the common areas mainly neutral. The walls have a European design style and have wooden slats, panels, or decorative plaster designs that add depth to the walls. This is particularly popular in Scandinavian and Italian interiors.

The entryway opens into a living space. An L-shaped sofa and vibrant lounge chair create a cosy and comfortable retreat. An abstract-style centre table paired with the black TV unit adds to the expansiveness of the space.

The custom dining table features a unique white tabletop and has 6 chairs. The dining area, located immediately after the living space, is definitely a head-turner. Hanging pendant lights and walls with mirror décor adds finish and subtle drama.

In the kitchen, the dark grey and wooden cabinetry draws visual interest. The wooden cabinets soften the ambience.
