Elegant Modern Home Interiors in Cherthala by D’LIFE Interior Designers

The homeowners, Riyas Backer & Siya Backer, asked D’LIFE interior designers to design a clean-lined home with elegance and lots of storage space. The homeowners entertain family and friends often and wanted their home interior in Cherthala to have a warm, inviting ambience. Adhering to the requirements, we designed the space that was minimal, intimate, and utilitarian.

“When we contacted D’LIFE interior designers in Kottayam, we got an invitation from their showroom. So, I visited the showroom. They showed us the experience centre. They showed us different kinds of panels, different designs, 3D designs, and kitchen fittings. So, by all these, I got impressed. Even in the design, I didn’t have to struggle. What I was thinking in my mind was already there in D’LIFE designs. So, this is how I wanted the interior of a house,” says Riyas Backer.

To maximise the views around and bring in the view of the surrounding plants, we sought to create an uncluttered, open-plan layout. These exude calmness and serve as a venue for all social events and gatherings.

The living room’s aesthetics are inspired by modern elements. The interior layout is divided into a formal seating area and an informal one. One of the living spaces is paired with two sectional sofas. The sofas are brown, and a compact coffee table takes the centre of the room. A TV unit foregrounds the white walls. The other living room flanks three single-seater sofas and a custom TV unit. The space gets clean-lined interiors with a neutral colour palette.

The dining room is familiar in its appearance. The dining table is modern, with a seamless white top. This is a six-seater dining set; the dining table and chairs are custom-made.

The master bedroom of this home interior in Cherthala is cloaked in clean lines, simple silhouettes, custom furniture and a hushed palette. Along the wall on one side stands a wardrobe unit. The second bedroom has the same setting. flooded in natural light from the expansive windows, and the custom furniture that infuses warmth gives subtle richness. We started with a few furniture pieces rather than making it bland; later on, we used soft and rough textures and warm and cool colour tones. The space has multifunctional furniture and is an absolute masterpiece.

The open modular kitchen lies just off the dining area. It is out of sight from the living space and is designed using a neutral colour palette that complements the rest of the space. These cabinets are very easy to maintain and are done in a grey finish. The colour helps the modular kitchen achieve an attractive look. Our designers have also included a breakfast counter and smart storage solutions to offer maximum storage space. The cabinets are equipped with soft-close hinges and premium laminates, allowing easy-maintenance kitchen cabinets.
